The Carolina Panthers have suspended wide receiver Steve Smith for 2 regular season games. The suspension stems from a fight Smith got into at practice with teammate Ken Lucas. Apparently Lucas has a broken nose. Smith will still participate in training camp and preseason games.
Fantasy Impact: This puts a little wrinkle in your draft plans. With Smith not being available the first 2 weeks, he could drop on draft boards. He is still worth a 3rd round pick but you might be able to steal him in the 4th.
